Amlwch is home to the ancient copper mine at Parys Mountain, and copper has been mined here since neolithic times.
This piece is a multipart wood turned vessel, textured by my "secret" process, then "coloured" with manganese oxides and copper, a verdigris chemical processis applied then sealed with lacquer, producing an aged copper like surface.
The inside and base are both coated in a proprietary manganese oxide based treatment.
